Sales Project Engineer

Description: NW Rapid Manufacturing is a Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D Printing bureau. The job purpose is to keep the company's production moving smoothly by quoting and placing customer orders, overseeing production and on-time shipping, and keeping clients up to date on order status. To maintain Rapid’s production numbers and monitor the company's progress toward its goals. To answer and assist callers and clients, and retain organized company files. To continually monitor and update the 3D print quote engine in order to keep NW Rapid Mfg. profitable but also competitive. Provide engineering expertise related to additive manufacturing design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone, routing calls and responding to customer queries on order statuses and questions from clients or callers.
  • Providing quotes for potential and current clients and quote follow up.
  • Client file preparation and review.
  • CAD modeling.
  • Entering orders.
  • Final build approval.
  • QC tolerance/quality resolution.
  • Researching materials and hardware for customer queries.
  • Research and development of new 3D printing production methods and technics.
  • Managing design clients.
  • Fulfill client documentation requests (Certificate of Conformance, Material Safety Data Sheets, etc.).
  • Customer outreach.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the quoting engine.
  • Build data tracking.
  • Overseeing overall production workflow, ensure that production flows smoothly without disruption.
  • Additive Manufacturing Broker liaison.
  • Provide input for company blog and newsletter.
  • Approve independent contractor-generated content.
  • Tour coordinator/guide and scheduling customer/school tours.
  • Outreach through speaking engagements.
  • Aid in machine scheduling
  • Perform Quality and Document Control Supplier Assessments.
  • Act as back up for build creation, break out, and 2nd ops for tumbling, dyeing, annealing, assembling, spray painting
  • Any further engineering requirements.
Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:
  • Background in engineering or an engineering related field.
  • Must have deep knowledge of all processes involved in production and be able to perform them, even those outside of this job’s regular responsibilities.
  • Must be able to read and generate engineering blueprints as well as other engineering related documentation.
  • Must be proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and 3D CAD software.
  • Must be able to direct and assign co-workers tasks in a clear manner.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and work with little to no supervision.
  • Possess good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to consistently perform the same tasks daily/weekly.
  • Must be good at planning ahead.
